There’s so much to see and do at the Muri Beachcomber you will wish you could stay longer. Take advantage of complimentary water sports equipment and the many activities close to the resort or take you pick from many of nearby excursions and tour operators offering a wide range of great days out. Car & Scooter Hire
Get around this beautiful island and see all it has to offer with the flexibility and convenience of a scooter. For only NZ$25.00 per day you can hire your own 100cc/fully automatic scooters. You are required to get a Drivers License from the local Police Station.
Walks & Treks
The most popular inland hiking trails include Papua Waterfall, Avana Valley and Raemaru Lookout which take around 2 hours each amid the beautiful tropical rainforest. You can even walk right around the coastal beaches of Rarotonga in one full day. There are plenty of walks for all levels of ability and fitness.

Local tour operators offer a wide variety of activities including: glass bottom boat tours, inland safaris, deep sea fishing, cross island walks, horse riding, quad bikes, cultural experiences and much more.
Island Hop
Off from Muri Beach lie the tropical motus (islands) of Ta'akoka & Koromiri. Take a complimentary kayak, wade or swim across to explore these idyllic little islands.

We have complimentary kayaks and snorkeling equipment so you can experience the beautiful lagoon that lies just metres away from the property. Explore the picturesque islets which are dotted along the edge of the lagoon.
Diving
There is comprehensive diving available from local operators catering to all levels of diving experience. There is a whole underwater world of beautiful coral, colorful fish, turtles and other amazing sea life to discover.
Sailing and Watersports
The adjacent Sailing Club has Club Day most Saturdays – visitors are most welcome and you may be lucky enough to get yourself a sail on a traditional Vaka.
Inside the club there is also Sails Restaurant providing Pacific rim cuisine, using fresh Cook Island seasonal seafood and produce.

The lagoon in front of Muri Beachcomber is sandy and safe for all ages. The crystal blue Muri lagoon is a magnificent aquatic playground.
